The webinar recording focuses on the following questions:

  • What have we learned about the crisis, following on from the pandemic – reflections and research findings from the last 6 months?
  • What does the new normal, including hybrid and distant work look like – what are the implications for thinking about work and leadership?
  • How should both the future of work and the COVID-19 crisis impact on the strategic leadership and thinking about people management?

The pandemic has affected all sectors on a global scale. Even the deepest crisis appears to be over, we all have to navigate back to a “new normal” without really knowing what it entails, or should entail. Simultaneously, we are dealing with a growingly complex and heterogeneous situation in terms of peoples’ work and personal life contexts.

This is a challenge for all organizations and leaders. Organizations need to manage and secure both the acute day-to-day operations and long-term goals, strategically. The crisis is likely to have a long-term impact far beyond the pandemic, re-shaping the future of work locally and universally.

Managing crises and transforming organizations at the same time is not easy. Balancing the necessity of new ways of thinking about work and trying to be innovative, whilst identifying new opportunities, i.e. new forms of business, revenue, and ways of working, is a challenge.

However, this will also give us direction, purpose, new energy, and enthusiasm, in the midst, and beyond, the crisis. HR/People management leaders have a crucial role in leading the new ways of thinking and strategizing, as well as taking action, to ensure the future success of their organization and people.
