The Organizations and Transformation program is designed for organizations seeking to build transformational leadership capability and navigate complex change initiatives successfully. It is ideally suited for professionals tasked with leading, influencing, or implementing strategic shifts in strategy, processes, or organizational culture. Content and Schedule
Organization and Transformation comprises a self-paced online course, a two-day live online module, a written pre-assignment, and a take-home assignment. The program is worth 4.5 ECTS credits.

The program begins with the self-paced Managing (with) Organizational Culture online course to establish essential cultural frameworks. The live module delivers a structured approach to organizational transformation, exploring strategic and organizational design, change leadership, resistance management, and employee mobilization. The curriculum examines transformation through multiple analytical lenses, including strategy, business models, structure, and leadership, with a special focus on digital and cultural transformation in the Asia-Pacific context.
The program employs an immersive, case-based approach to transformational leadership. Learning methodologies include real-world case studies that analyze both successful and failed transformations, guest speakers sharing firsthand experiences in change leadership, and an action learning project in which participants develop a comprehensive transformation roadmap. This practical framework ensures that participants gain immediately applicable skills in diagnosing transformation challenges, designing intervention strategies, and mobilizing organizations toward sustainable change.

Xiaoshi Kinnunen
Xiaoshi Kinnunen is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at Aalto University School of Business.
She holds a PhD in International Business, and her research focuses on how effective management practices and processes can enhance company innovation. She also studies how digital platform firms design business models and internationalization strategies. Kinnunen has practical project experience collaborating with Finnish firms to support their innovation and international expansion through digital platforms.
