Helpful, insightful, international, this is how Sanghwan Kweon describes his participation in the Executive MBA program in Korea.
The joint program by Aalto EE and the Korean business school aSSIST includes a two-week study period in Finland, and graduation will be celebrated next February.

Sanghwan Kweon has more than 33 years of leadership experience and currently serves as Executive Business Consultant at Hyosung TNS and was previously the CEO of the company's US operations.
"I'm now in the second phase of my career, and I believe that the EMBA will be useful in building it," says Sanghwan Kweon.
As part of the visit to Finland, Korean participants gathered to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the program at Dipoli on the Aalto University campus.

The EMBA program in Korea was initiated by the professor duo Veikko Jääskeläinen and Dong-Sung Cho. Established in 1995, the international dual degree program was the first of its kind in Korea at the time.

The program is not only Finland's oldest education export product but also plays a significant role in building relations between the two countries. Thirty years ago, when the program was initiated, Finland became a member of the European Union, and great leaps were taken in globalization.
Timo Korkeamäki, Dean of the Aalto University School of Business, noted that expanding the university's operations internationally was ahead of its time in Finland and globally.
Aalto has a significant impact on business life in Korea, and the program already has more than 5,000 alumni. Soon, Sanghwan Kweon will be one of them.
