Aalto EE, working together with ACAMS*, offers a preparation course for the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification in Finland. The Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist preparation day prepares you for the CAMS exam. After the preparation course, you'll take the CAMS exam in Helsinki, and you become a CAMS Certified Graduate.
Earning CAMS certification demonstrates to regulators and examiners that organizations and individuals are dedicated to following a standardized risk-based approach to protecting against any threat of money laundering and financial crime. CAMS is the most widely recognized anti-money laundering certification worldwide and participants who achieve certification meet the AML training requirements mandated by the EU.

Contents and Schedule
The program consists of a one-day training course and a final exam leading to the certificate.
The program includes lectures, group discussions, and sharing of personal experience. Participants also receive access to a digital learning environment and materials.

Am I eligible to take the CAMS Exam?
The requirements to join the ACAMS Preparation Course consist of two sections: Professional Experience and Education & Training. At a minimum, you will need to demonstrate you have 40 ACAMS credits. You can check your credits through calculator at Acams website. Please check your credits before enrolling to the Preparation course. We are also happy to help you evaluate your current credits. If you don’t seem to have enough credits, there are free online courses at Acams website, by which you can earn more credits.
Enrollment for Preparation Course
First you need to enroll for the Preparation Course (October 12th) at Aalto EE website. There are 3 separate time steps for enrollment. By enrolling before each of the steps, you will get invoiced and after payment you will get access to CAMS study materials (2-3 weeks after the enrollment step). The earlier you enroll, the earlier you get access to study materials. You should enroll at the latest by September 10th.
Application to Acams
After enrolling for the Preparation Course, you also need to send an application to Acams. We will send you a Preparation Course group code, which you need for this, as well as instructions how to apply online. Notice, that you don’t need to do Acams Application immediately after Course enrollment, but you should do it still before the Preparation Course. Notice also, that your 6 months period to do the Exam starts with the Approval of your Acams Application. By Applying later, you can get more time to do the Exam after the Preparation day.
Scheduling the Exam
In addition to enrolling to Preparation Course and Applying to Acams, you also need to schedule your Exam. Once your Acams application is approved, you’ll be emailed instructions on how to schedule your exam at your nearest Pearson VUE testing center. You can schedule and do the Exam anytime after the Preparation Course but keep in mind your 6 months period after the Acams Approval.

Is it possible to take the exam during the preparation course?
It’s not possible to take the exam during Preparation Course. The CAMS Exam is only available at Pearson VUE testing centers – they offer a global network of 5000+ locations. Find a testing center near you. There is also a limited possibility to do the Exam online. More information on online possibility is included in the info package from Acams after your Approval.
What documents do I need to provide as evidence of my educational qualifications?
You will need official transcripts or a copy of your diploma during the process. Still, you do not need to deliver them right at the beginning of the process, only when doing the Acams Application. You still need to enroll for the Preparation Course prior to this.
Do I earn any credits for being an ACAMS member?
ACAMS certifies the achievements of their members. So, being a member is a requirement for CAMS certification but doesn't count towards your 40 ACAMS credit eligibility total. You get 1 year Acams membership included in your fee for the Preparation Course.
How do I access the CAMS study materials?
Once you’ve enrolled at Aalto EE website for the preparation course and have paid the participation fee, you will soonly receive link to the online study materials and can start preparing for the Preparation Day and the Exam.
