Module 1 - Understanding Technology-Driven Transformation in HR
This module introduces the core concepts that underpin the course and explores what technology-driven transformation means in organizations today. With a focus on Human Resources, it examines how automation, artificial intelligence, and augmentation are reshaping HR processes and decision-making, as well as the common challenges organizations face when implementing new technologies.
Module 2 - Core Digital Technology in HRM
This module introduces the core digital technologies used in Human Resource Management. It covers HR information systems, data management, process and workflow automation, and broader digital HR applications. Learners explore how technology supports HR processes in practice and how organizations move from simply having technology to using it effectively.
Module 3 - Identifying the Need for Digital Transformation
This module focuses on recognizing when and why digital transformation is needed in HR. Learners explore how to frame HR problems effectively, distinguish symptoms from root causes, and apply evidence-based thinking to develop and prioritize impactful, testable solutions for HR transformation initiatives.
Module 4 - Data-Driven HR and People Analytics
This module introduces data-driven approaches in HR and the foundations of people analytics. It covers key types of HR analytics and data sources, asks how to formulate the right questions, and addresses data privacy, ethics, and responsible use. The module helps learners understand how analytics can support better decision-making in HR.
Module 5 - Leading the Transformation
This module focuses on leading and sustaining digital transformation in practice. Dina Myllymäki
Dina Myllymäki is a University Lecturer at Aalto University School of Business.
She teaches topics related to human resource management, digital HRM, and organisational development. Her work focuses on how emerging technologies and artificial intelligence in particular are transforming the HR function and shaping the future of work. More recently, she has expanded her research to social impact, examining how it is defined and evaluated in the business context.
In her teaching, Myllymäki brings a research-driven perspective with practical relevance, helping students make sense of real organisational challenges and consider different ways people management can be done.
