Aalto Executive MBA (Aalto EMBA) has once again been chosen among the world's 100 best Executive MBA programs in the annual and international Financial Times EMBA Ranking.

This time, Aalto EMBA ranked 93rd (88th in 2022). Among the Nordic programs, Aalto EMBA was the fourth best (5th best in 2022).

Aalto EMBA is the only Nordic program that has remained on the list of 100 best EMBA programs continuously since 2006.

"In addition to the Aalto EMBA program, only about twenty other schools have remained on the list continuously for this long. This indicates the reliable quality of our program and the long-term continued development work. In addition to Aalto, other schools in this group include London Business School and IMD," says Kerttu Kuokkanen, Director, MBA Programs at Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development (Aalto EE).

Aalto EMBA's ranking was particularly positively influenced by the fact that this practical leadership program aimed at experienced leaders is strongly based on science.

In relation to the number of its professors, Aalto University School of Business produces a significant number of top-level research publications. Aalto EMBA also has a high number of instructors who have completed their doctoral degrees.

“Aalto University is a research university of top quality and everything we teach at Aalto EMBA is based on the latest research. The results of this ranking show that we have succeeded in making the information relevant and approachable for the participants of our programs. The customer experience, which was rated as excellent, is an indicator of successful choices in terms of teaching methods,” says Mikko Laukkanen, Academic Director at Aalto EE and Professor of Practice at Aalto University.

Based on the ranking, leaders who completed the Aalto EMBA are very satisfied with the customer experience it provided. Aalto EMBA's customer satisfaction was very high in this year's ranking (9.36/10) – 27th in the world and second highest in the Nordics. However, customer satisfaction is not an official evaluation criterion in the ranking.

The Financial Times EMBA ranking is based on surveys for alumni who graduated from the program in a given year, as well as surveys for business schools. There are sixteen official comparison criteria, which are weighed in different ways. The comparison made this year is based on a survey for alumni who graduated in 2020.

In this year’s Financial Times EMBA Ranking, the joint program of Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology was chosen as the best EMBA program in the world. It ranked first also in 2022.
