What It Takes to Move from AI Pilots to an AI Operating Model
AI is transitioning from isolated experiments to redesigning how organizations operate. As part of our It's FrA!day webinar series, our guest speakers Henri Schildt, Professor of Strategy at Aalto University; Tuukka Koskinen, Co-Founder and Partner at Supervoima Solutions; and Sameli Mäenpää, Founder and CEO at Black Belt Consulting, will discuss the requirements of an AI operating model for strategy, people, governance, and technology.
While most organizations have AI experiments that look promising in isolation, far fewer have decided how AI will be developed, governed, and funded across the entire organization. Agentic AI raises the stakes further by reshaping roles, recruitment, strategy, and the technology stack while changing how work is divided between people and systems. These are leadership-level decisions, not choices made pilot by pilot. The real challenge lies in the operating model, the structures, ownership, and ways of working that transform AI capability into sustained business value. This raises questions that every leadership team must answer:
• What separates an AI experiment from an AI operating model
• How agentic AI reshapes strategy, roles, and management work
• What changes in recruitment, competence development, and career paths when agents do part of the work
• Who owns AI development, governance, and maintenance, and where that responsibility sits in the organization
• What leadership teams should decide now, and what can wait
The discussion is hosted by Jonni Junkkari, Senior Solutions Director, AI & Digital Economy, Aalto EE.
The webinar is free of charge. We will share the webinar recording after the event with all registrants.
After the main webinar, we invite you to stay for an extra 10 minutes to learn about Leading AI Adoption, a new program Aalto EE is launching with Edward Lynx, a management consulting company specializing in leadership development through action-based methods.
The program brings together teams from different (non-competing) Nordic companies, so participants can learn from others' experiences as well as their own. Across four days and two modules, it combines hands-on, practical work on putting AI into practice with a focus on leading AI adoption and strategy across an organization or part of one.
If you're already interested, get in touch with us in advance. This way, you may have an opportunity to continue in an invitation-only session right after the 10-minute info session.
