Aalto University School of Business has appointed Professor Max Finne as Associate Dean of MBA Education, a new leadership position that will strengthen the academic and strategic collaboration between Aalto University School of Business and Aalto EE. The three-year term began in January 2026.

Max Finne, Professor of Information and Service Management, has extensive experience in executive education and leadership development. In his new role, he will lead the renewal and development of MBA, EMBA and DBA programs, ensuring their continued academic rigor and global relevance.

The Associate Dean position will focus on developing the academic excellence, global reach, and flexible pathways of the MBA programs. Reporting to the Dean and serving as part of the School’s Top Management Team, Professor Finne will also work closely with Aalto EE’s leadership to advance strategic initiatives in executive education and ensure alignment with Aalto University’s long-term vision.

This appointment supports Aalto EE’s revised strategy for 2026-2028, which emphasizes research-based executive education, global partnerships, lifewide learning, and a stronger integration of academic excellence with real-world impact. By reinforcing academic collaboration between Aalto EE and the School of Business, the new role underlines Aalto University’s shared ambition to deliver world-class executive education that empowers leaders to create sustainable value in an evolving global context.

By working closely with Aalto EE’s leadership, the Associate Dean will ensure that MBA education evolves in step with global market needs and Aalto EE’s ambition to lead the market in modular, university-powered executive learning.

Professor Finne has been teaching in MBA programs since 2014 and more broadly in Aalto EE programs since 2019.
