Aalto University Executive Education Ltd (Aalto EE) will move its main office to Otaniemi, Espoo, in August 2025 and start training activities on the Aalto University campus. At the same time, the Aalto Töölö campus in Helsinki will remain the home base of Aalto EE's executive education. The change is part of Aalto EE's strategic renewal.
"It's not just about a change at the office, but about a way to carry out our mission more effectively. In Otaniemi, we will get closer to Aalto University's research and competence clusters, and we can build learning that supports the renewal of individuals, organizations, and society," says Tom Lindholm, Managing Director of Aalto EE and Head of Lifewide Learning at Aalto University.
Executive education continues in Töölö – and gets a new platform for renewal alongside it
In the two-campus model, Aalto EE will continue to implement executive education, MBA, and EMBA programs in the historic and prestigious environment of Töölö. Executive education is at the core of Aalto EE. Töölö's strong tradition and customer experience will remain. Otaniemi brings a new kind of connection to research and technology that supports the renewal of programs.
Otaniemi will be the home to training programs aimed at professionals and experts, with an emphasis on technology, design, sustainability, and business renewal.
"Töölö offers our customers a polished service environment and a strong tradition of business management. Otaniemi complements this by providing a direct link to multidisciplinary research and the transformation of working life," Lindholm says.
A new way of working within an iconic building
Aalto EE's new main office will be located in the historically significant Dipoli, which is located in the middle of one of Europe's leading multidisciplinary innovation ecosystems. More than 12,000 people work and study on campus, and at its core is an extensive network of research institutes, business operators, and startups.
"The connection to the campus community, researchers, and companies arises naturally when we are where the development takes place. This is not only an opportunity but also a duty for us – to build learning that matters," Lindholm says.
Leadership training, international growth, and digital solutions accelerate a new phase
The move comes at a time when Aalto EE is further strengthening its three strategic focus areas: high-quality executive education, international growth, and the development of digital, scalable learning solutions.
Aalto EE's program offering ranges from open programs to customized organization-specific solutions, providing impactful learning experiences for individuals and organizations.
Aalto EE already operates in several international markets, and the Otaniemi campus offers a new fulcrum for building global partnerships and deepening program cooperation.
"We are currently building a new era of lifewide learning with the kind of impact and ambition that sets us apart. Otaniemi is not the end point for us, but the starting point for a new phase," Lindholm sums up.
