The 2026 MBA scholarship has been awarded to Milla Perukangas, a lead advisor in peace work at Finn Church Aid, who wants to find new solutions to global challenges through cooperation.

25.9.2025

Milla Perukangas has received the 2026 MBA scholarship, covering participation and materials for the Aalto MBA program. Perukangas’s studies will begin in January 2026.

Milla Perukangas is responsible for the strategic development of peace work at Finn Church Aid and supports the activities of 12 country offices worldwide.

Perukangas expects her MBA studies to strengthen her understanding of business, deepen her strategic thinking, and help her develop new ways of cooperation. She believes that combining development cooperation and private sector expertise can lead to solutions to complex global problems.

“There is potential in working together with development cooperation experts and business sector actors. I believe the current challenges facing the world require a new kind of cooperation. When experts from different fields share their experiences, it creates an understanding of how complex problems can be solved together," says Perukangas.

The MBA scholarship application is arranged in collaboration with koulutus.fi. The scholarship was awarded for the sixth time, and this year’s application window ran from April 24 to May 31, 2025. After rigorous screening, three finalists were selected for interviews, with Perukangas ultimately chosen as the recipient. The scholarship was intended to support an applicant who strives to have a broader social impact and is genuinely committed to issues of responsibility.

The scholarship committee included Kerttu Kuokkanen, Director of MBA Programs at Aalto EE; Anne Nylund, Senior Program Director of the Aalto MBA; Sari Saastamoinen, Director at Aalto EE; Jeremias Ojamäki, Senior Relationship Manager at Aalto EE; David Derichs, Senior University Lecturer at Aalto University; Max Lundberg, CEO of koulutus.fi; and Merita Bruun, Communications Manager at koulutus.fi.
