Under his tenure Nokia has successfully transformed from a mobile phone manufacturer to a leading communication technology company. Siilasmaa is the founder of F-Secure Corporation and an entrepreneur at heart. He is also an active contributor in many European and Asian industry associations and public debate. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Federation of Finnish Technology Industries and the Vice Chairman of the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK). He is also a member of the European Roundtable of Industrialists (ERT), the Tsinghua SEM Advisory Board at Tsinghua University and the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing.
