David Purdy

David Purdy is Clinical Assistant Professor of Management Communication at New York University Stern School of Business.

Professor Purdy draws on more than 25 years of experience and education in business and the arts to help students, executives and entrepreneurs think and influence more effectively both in person and online. His research in Aesthetic Intelligence draws on the arts and humanities – and insights from neuroscience – to help others connect, communicate, and collaborate effectively.

He received an education degree in music from Temple University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Maryland. He also studied for three years at the Studio Theatre Conservatory (Washington DC) and has studied entrepreneurship best practices through both the JumpStart and FastTrac programs at the Levin Institute.
