
Tomasz Mucha
Tomasz Mucha is a practitioner turned academic. He has ten years of industry experience from large corporations and start-ups, with past roles including expert and managerial responsibilities. He has always been working on the intersection of international business and technology in telecommunication services, mobile phones, B2B software-as-a-service, renewable energy, and management consulting. Additionally, Tomasz serves the European Commission as an independent expert evaluator of innovation funding proposals submitted to the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency.
Currently, Mucha is a doctoral candidate at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Aalto University in Finland. His research focuses on the diffusion and impact of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within the context of for-profit organizations. He has been involved in government-initiated Finland’s Artificial Intelligence Accelerator since 2019 and is a co-author of the State of AI in Finland 2020 report. Tomasz has been publicly speaking about AI at practitioner- and researcher-focused events and conferences and teaching on the subject.
He is an MSc in Finance and has earned his education from Lund University in Sweden, Helsinki School of Economics (now part of Aalto University) in Finland, Queen’s University in Canada, and Warsaw University in Poland.
