Pedram Mokrian

Pedram Mokrian focuses on big data, cloud/SaaS, and energy tech investments. His core expertise lies in the intersection of the energy, technology, and services domains. He has served as a board observer on CPower (acquired by Constellation Energy). He was formerly a principal at Mayfield and has spent time on the commodities trading desk at Credit Suisse and held positions at Ford Motor Company, JDS Uniphase, and Nortel Networks, broadly covering the areas of power generation, fiber optics, and hardware development.

Mokrian is actively involved with and recognized for his domain expertise within the energy community. He has served on the board of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Young Professionals in Energy, the membership committee for the US Association for Energy Economics, and is a Charter member of C100, where he co-leads the Cleantech practice. In addition, he is an active contributor to the Energy Policy Task Force at the Hoover Institute.

Mokrian holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford University with a focus on Energy Finance and Economics, and during his tenure, was involved with the founding of the Precourt Institute for Energy Efficiency.
