Laakso has over a decade of experience in facilitating, researching and conducting creative development work and helping organizations in different fields to develop their working practices. He has taken part in developing the Design Factory concept since its early years. He has worked in and managed several local and international research and development projects.

He is also a Founding Partner at Riihi Consulting Oy where he makes the most of design methods and distinctive ways of working in a variety of development contexts. Laakso has previously worked as a product designer developing award-winning products.
