The Aalto University MBA programs hold the three most respected business university accreditations. In 2007, Aalto University School of Economics (former Helsinki School of Economics) received the Triple Crown of accreditations: AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.
AACSB Accreditation
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) was the world's first and is still the largest accreditation organization for business schools.
The Helsinki School of Economics (now Aalto University School of Economics) was awarded AACSB accreditation on 12 April, 2007. AACSB accreditation is further proof to students, applicants, employees, partners, corporations and benefactors that Aalto University School of Economics’ educational programs and related services are truly world class. Preparing for and ensuring future compliance to the accreditation guidelines forms a solid base for internal discussion and improvement within Aalto University School of Economics’ university and partner networks. One key function of participating in the AACSB accreditation process, in line with the Finnish government’s top university-program, is guaranteeing the school's continuing development.
AMBA accreditation
The Aalto Part-time MBA and Executive MBA Programs have been accredited by AMBA, the UK-based Association of MBAs, since May 1997. The program is the oldest internationally accredited MBA program of Scandinavian origin. AMBA Accreditation gives our school the opportunity to participate in international student recruiting, alumni networks, and education development projects.
EQUIS quality label
The Helsinki School of Economics (now Aalto University School of Economics) served as a pioneer school for the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) implemented by EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). In July 1998, the School was awarded the EQUIS-European Quality Label.
