Welcome to the Aalto Executive DBA Experience

Starting in 2013, Aalto University will offer a global Executive DBA Program especially tailored for executives and other top-level business professionals, who desire a high-quality doctoral degree in business administration and are committed to conducting a doctoral level research in strategic management, marketing or other business disciplines.

Aalto University School of Business (formerly Helsinki School of Economics) has graduated more than 400 doctorates in business and economics since 1937, when the first business doctorate in the Nordic countries was defended at HSE. Today, the School of Business holds the globally renowned Triple Crown of international accreditations of AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), and AMBA (Association of MBAs).

The Aalto Executive DBA studies are supervised by a team of globally renowned business school professors. Each doctoral candidate accepted to the program receives a tailored curriculum of on-line courses in theory and methodology, and participates in a number of face-to-face research seminars related to the candidate's own research project each academic year. In the Aalto Executive DBA program, a special emphasis is placed on managerial relevance of the research, and interdisciplinary approach is embraced.
