Aalto JOKO® is the leading Finnish Management Education program. Based on over 40 years of experience the program develops strategic thinking and provides an overall view of the key issues for management. Two programs are arranged each year. ParticipantsThe program is intended for managers and experts in demanding managerial position who are genuinely interested in developing their management skills and their organization. CommitmentThe program consists of 26 days of instruction (10 modules) and optional 7 days study tour abroad. Program is mainly conducted in 2- or 3-day modules at monthly intervals. Program is worth 30 European credits (ECTS). Learning methodsMultiple instruction methods; lectures, discussions, group and individual assignments are designed to provide a basis for interaction and participation, and integration of theory and practice. Participants are encouraged to link the academic input on latest business and management theories with their professional experience in organizations. Assignments ask the participants to reflect upon their experience and apply learning to their specific business environment. Students are expected to work on Strategic Business Project in small groups during the program. The participants can suggest a topic for the business project from their own companies. Done in groups, the project is also a challenging team work exercise. |
