Aalto EE is the new player on the Swedish executive education arena

Appointments at Aalto University Executive Education

Ms. Theresia Andersson will start as Project Director on March 1, 2012. Theresia will be responsible for expanding Aalto EE’s business operations in Sweden.

Business Area Director (Customized Solutions) Marja Maijala will retire April 1, 2012. Marja will continue as Senior Advisor in the Aalto EE team.

Raija Kuokkanen will start as Business Area Director (Customized Solutions) April 1, 2012. Raija will also continue as Senior Account Director being also part of the Sales and Accounts team.

Business Area Director (Open Programs & Forums) Hannele Järvenpää has started as a supervisor for the Growth team.

Aalto Leadership Lab responsibility will be handed over to Pekka Mattila while Leena Huotari concentrates on leading the New Business team.
Prof. Janne Tienari will join Aalto EE team as Senior Advisor for the Leadership Lab.

A Competence Manager role has been established in order to strengthen Aalto EE’s specific competence areas. Competence Manager will be the Aalto EE level leading specialist in his/her area, and responsible for developing training concepts, consulting colleagues in customer projects and building a strong network of partners and professionals in the assigned competence area.
Development Manager Maarit Hursti has been appointed as Competence Manager for the Human Resource Management & Development competence area.

Financial Times EMBA Ranking: Aalto EMBA – The Best EMBA Program in the Nordic Countries

Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking 2011 results were published on Monday September 24, 2011. Aalto Executive MBA (Aalto EMBA) Program offered by Aalto University Executive Education (Aalto EE) was awarded with an excellent result and claimed a position as the number one EMBA Program in the Nordic Countries. For the first time Aalto EMBA Program left clearly behind the two traditional Scandinavian business schools, Stockholm School of Economics (founded in 1909) and Copenhagen Business School (founded in 1917). In FT’s global ranking Aalto EMBA Program is now ranked 53rd which is 9 places higher than previous year. Read more
